Pros
If you get work, then the pay rate is good. To get work, make sure you are in an area of high demand, e.g. SOX experience with an international corporation.
Cons
Because the employees carry all the risks of employment, I found them cavalier in their attitude. They promised me projects in my field in my home city then reneged immediately after I quit my previous job, even though I gave them a month's notice. I went for 3 months with no work (and no salary). Even when I told them I was willing to travel, it still took 2 months to find a position. Then I was travelling 100% of the time. Other firms arrange a 40 hour week as 4 ten hour days, but not Resources.
