Pros
TMP has many some extraordinarily talented and passionate people. For the recruitment communications niche, TMP has its share of visionaries, and it has been ahead of the game in terms of the adoption and development of digital media and technological solutions. In the larger sense, the company definitely knows what it is doing and is often very good or excellent in making their clients look good. Middle management is generally pretty flexible and understanding.
Cons
I would give the company a 2 1/2 star rating if I could, but I'll round up. There is not enough trust by the CEO in Executive and Regional management to be allowed to run their offices. There is only a vague sense of what is to come next, and it seems like the company doesn't stick to its roadmap. Often, the company goes to market on technological offerings that are not ready for primetime which hurts TMP's reputation. Training is bad, and although what it is better than it used to be, it still awful. There is ZERO career path; I can't emphasize that enough. There is a fair amount of cronyism while smart, hard-working people get overlooked and overworked. TMP is a revenue-driven organization - meaning that the bottom line is more important than all other considerations in all cases. The company has simply spread itself too thin and is trying to become all things to all clients rather than focusing on being excellent in a few key areas.
