Pros

Great place to make friends if you’re fresh out of high school or if this is one of your first jobs. The crew can be a lot of fun to work with and some of the shift managers are really friendly.

Cons

Awful upper management, they are the reason I left. They will get upset with you if you get sick and can’t work. Will rush training and force you in positions you don’t feel qualified for. Some aren’t respectful of crew’s identity and there is a whole culture of talking about others behind their backs. In my experience they get your hopes up and then don’t give you the tools you need to succeed. If you are not willing to be a drone this isn’t the place for you. GM and OMs are very condescending. Also, no free meal during your shift.

Pros

-Fellow peers are often lovely to be around and helpful. -3 of 10 managers at my store are genuinely nice. -Flexible scheduling. -Our regular customers are very nice. -Pay is decent. -Easy work, even when busy. (Although it can be stressful from time to time.

Cons

-Only 50% off meals for crew. -Favoritism of crew members by management is abundant. -Bad hours, they keep shifts short if you aren't favorited. -They rely on the majority of their crew being teenagers and not knowing their rights. -Crew is often refused breaks when upper-management visits. (They will comp meals if you ask, but if you don't they will try to get away without it.) -Certain managers constantly berate and belittle crew members. -Because the company is growing more corporate and profit focused, it is becoming less focused on doing right by the crew and treating them well. -Everything has become more and more about penny-pushing and overzealous metrics. -The company likes to portray themselves as being crew-focused and wanting to support the little guy, but that is not how they actually conduct themselves in the treatment of their team.
