Pros

1. You are part of a real life dystopian experience. Who will still be employed at the end of 2019? Only time will tell. 2. Your paycheques will not bounce 3. Benefits are decent 4. You will get some work experience for your resume 5. You’ll likely learn some new skills on the job, which will allow you to get a better job 6. When you get a new job you’ll appreciate it much more as you’ll have come from an insanely toxic and fear-based environment 7. If you’re in Sales, you’ll inevitably quit or get fired, and this will be a great spring board into your new career as a real estate agent

Cons

1. No professional development opportunities. The CEO will tell you “we are not a university” 2. You will have to maintain your persona as a “yes man” to keep in the company’s good graces 3. Your mental health will decline. You will be experiencing a toxic environment day in and day out. People spend all their free time here obsessing over their days, and speculating what will happen tomorrow 4. There’s no job security. REW will tell you they have an HR department but really they’re just in place for show. They feed all info directly to the CEO, an insanely narcissistic and insecure man-child who takes everything personally and will strike back with a vengeance 5. The CEO shames and embarrasses employees, often publicly in meetings 6. It’s the Hunger Games, so you’re pitted against your team mates. The company is a revolving door and you had better make sure you’re better than your friend, so they will get fired or laid off, not you

We want REW to be the best place you've ever worked but appreciate that may not have been your experience. That said, we do know there are many of REW employees who have very much enjoyed their time here, which is reflected in actual, real reviews on this site. We hope that in the future, all reviewers come to understand that diverse views indeed exist instead of labelling reviews inconsistent with their own as 'fake' in an effort to undermine their legitimacy. We wish you the very best in the future.

Pros

Location of the Vancouver office. And the really amazing pool of co-workers (management excluded).

Cons

Kindly filter out any 5 and 4 star reviews because they are either fake or paid or whoever wrote these reviews were high on a cocktail of I-don’t-know-what. The single most reason this organization is such a terrible place is the so-called "management" which comprises of highly unqualified individuals with no real experience in leadership of any sorts and are almost self-aware that this is the farthest they can go in their respective careers and hence have no aspirations to be better at their jobs or actually give any damn about the company or the employees. Taking “directions” from this set of individuals is not only frustrating but also highly comical. Leaders here are so out of line, condescending and unhinged that such individuals could get fired in any other company let alone to be put in leadership role. Or they are completely clueless what the product is about. I have witnessed a number of firings during my time. I agree, there’s only so much leeway you can give to non-performers and that mass-layoffs are inevitable in company of this size during those bad sales months. However, this criteria for firing does not seem to apply to the leadership – the flag bearers of under-achievers in this organization. The employee growth is pretty much stagnant across the organization. Salaries are below average. And life at large for a regular employee is miserable. So if you are desperately in need of a job, you can accept a position here. But do not come in with expectations or high standards.
