Pros

This job provided me with many opportunities that I didn't expect. From cross dept training, to travel, industry networking opportunities, mentorship and more. Working at Revolution Events has been a blessing. If you are a highly motivated and driven individual you should have no problem finding success and navigating the tight deadlines that come with being a professional in this industry.

Cons

You will sweat. Alot. Hydrate. Tight deadlines, par for the course in Event Production, will push you. Personally I enjoy the challenge. But understand it isn't for everyone.

Pros

lots of freedom, amazing learning opportunities, lots of interesting projects and people, spacious work environment, lots of activity, rarely ever boring

Cons

sometimes event producers had crazy ideas for custom items that were a nightmare to actually produce, with very tight deadlines. not a huge con though in retrospect- we always made it happen. sometimes upper mgmt was moody and demanding, which could be hard for sensitive people. but it was real. just humans under pressure, and comes with the territory in an event production company.

Pros

Get to make cool stuff

Cons

This company is in a state of constant crisis with inexperienced, insecure managers on a power trip. You will be expected to work late hours through the evening and night to finish projects with unrealistic deadlines, many times having to re-do or change entire projects due to poor project management. Company roles are not clearly defined, with many employees having to temporarily switch departments/roles on a daily basis to finish projects or meet deadlines. Working conditions are incredibly hazardous with no dust extraction using materials known to cause cancer. Tools are incredibly disorganized, making it hard to even find the most basic of items at any given moment. If you are not directly related to or friends with the owners / mgmt, you will not be considered for further advancement or career development at this company.
