Pros

2 weeks vacation upon starting work (It all goes downhill after that)

Cons

1rst red flag before hire, job was position was posted incorrectly (later found happens frequently) 2nd red flag rate verbally offered and later in writing were different 3rd job performance NOT rated on job performance but rather how much you do others job higher up than you so they are not required to do all of the job they are to do 4th the ability to move up are nill to none (it may have been possible decades ago but no longer)5th they are all about SAFETY and EFFICIENCY but clearly the way they conduct themselves it is about covering there buts and not safety, they are so afraid of law suits they don't treat employees well (safety is only a concern if it benefits them, not employee) Efficiency-the best way to describe is simply they step on dollar bills to save dimes. The company healthcare is a joke as the only ones close in network are in Chicago or not accepting new patients, so 80-20 after high deductible is the only choice is this area. Maybe I'm being to critical has I have operated my own business before, these items are just a small beginning of what I see

Pros

You get to work on real supply chain problems that actually matter to operations, not just theoretical stuff. Remote flexibility is solid and the work-life balance is fair. The tech stack is modern (Snowflake, Azure, Power BI) and if you're someone who takes initiative, you'll get the chance to own things end-to-end. The people you work with day-to-day are genuinely good and most teams have a collaborative culture.

Cons

Growth from senior level and beyond can be painfully slow even when you're clearly doing the work above your role. Leadership and org changes happen often which resets your visibility and momentum with whoever is advocating for you. Some areas still lack clear ownership so things fall through the cracks or land on whoever is willing to pick them up. Pay doesn't always reflect the scope of what you're actually doing.
