Pros

Excellent leadership. Transparent and fair. Doing cool work. Fulfilling. Great office. Fun staff. It was honestly a great experience.

Cons

Really none. Hard work, but the science was cutting edge. Would rather work hard doing something interesting than the other way around. Some typical startup concerns but worth it.

Pros

Very down to earth and transparent management. Clear trust displayed from the top down that inspires creativity and novel approaches. Unique strategy that learns from current criticisms of the industry and addresses them head on in our approach to an affordable end product. Great combination of talent from many different backgrounds all sharing a refreshingly ego-free commitment towards yummy food, food security, and climate activism. Strong collaboration across the company with no siloing. Clear communication of responsibilities and expectations for career ladder progress. Ample investment in professional development at all levels (conferences, trainings, courses) Commitment to culture - poor performers and negative/problematic attitudes actually get let go

Cons

Very rapid pace and many projects get depriortized when new information arrives (can be hard to keep up sometimes). Small company so supply chain issues have plagued us constantly during covid requiring a ton of flexibility. Company is weirdly frugal in some areas and very care free with spending in others - confusion can be built looking across departments seeing new top of the line machines in one lab and second hand refurbished ones in another.

Pros

- Learned a lot - Great core team to start with - Decent area to work in with decent benefits

Cons

- Toxic Management and work culture - Bloated management (1-3 ratio managers to scientists) - CEO screams when he doesn't get his way - Misuse of funds by management for personal use
