Pros

Safelite is a great place to learn and be stretched as a person, you’ll learn to think on your feet, look at all the angles for problems you may have and learn as you go. As long as you're willing to learn, you will succeed.

Cons

Local management is inconsistent and implements policies just to satisfy the higher ups at corporate. They are all too willing to “ look the other way” or “not ask any questions” when policies are being violated...as long as you’re a successful technician. There is an air of “ do whatever you want, however you want as long as you dont get caught and make our store money” Local (store) management also has a habit of making you feel about two inches tall when you make a mistake, but turns around and praises the policy violating employess as if they’re the gods of the auto glass industry. Actions like these breed discontentment, and awful morale within the workforce.

Pros

Work from home, pay is good and Supervisors I've had are great! Really worked with me on a schedule that fit with my needs! If your full-time you get benefits that include health insurance, life insurance, 401K with a 50 percent match, dental and vision insurance plus a yearly bonus!

Cons

Training doesn't prepare you for everything so it's a bit scary when your first working there! Upside is the seasoned employees (I'm one of them) will step up to the plate to assist in answering questions to make the transition easier. Selling wipers can be a hit or miss, that is part of the quota! There were a variety of health insurances to choose from it's been cut down to one which doesn't work for me!
