They truly believe in making the world a better place through education, and it's nice to be a part of a company that intends to stay independent forever, rather than wanting to go public. Their benefits, especially healthcare, are unparalleled.
Cons
Their pay is low for those who haven't been at the company for a long time. If you stick it out and are there for many years and do well, you'll be compensated for it, but it will take a very long time to work up to that level.
