Pros

It's hard to explain, but I found this place one of the most depressing places I've ever worked. I wanted to believe the hype but I was disappointed. It is a monoculture of engineering dorks. The people I worked with have no real sense of humor or intellectual depth. The lifers who have been with the company for nearly 20 years are the worst. The product is mature and management is very risk averse. This is not a cutting-edge stack, for obvious and understandable reasons. The company is recruiting on reputation developed over the years as a once great place to work. Free lunches, nice office, foosball tables, etc. All the typical trappings designed to keep you in the office longer. Since the pandemic, I'm not sure if any of those things are relevant any more. I left shortly before lockdowns, so I wonder how things have evolved. For software engineers, I found not much potential for growth or advancement here.

Cons

Boring, old stack, monoculture, lack of growth

Cons

With the dynamic shift toward new AI initiatives, staying aligned across teams takes extra effort as priorities adapt to market demands.

Pros

Collaborative environment, fair compensation and possibility of increase through shares awards, leadership that really tries to involve you with what you like doing - in my time here I never felt like a number, they genuinely care. Affinity groups give you the opportunity to meet people from many areas of the company. Pool of very qualified resources make staffing and overseeing projects easier. Product keeps advancing, so it never gets boring, there is always something new to learn. Good work life balance - heavier workload when projects going live or end of quarters, but lower in between.

Cons

Mostly remote teams - easy to stay isolated, very rare opportunities to bring the team to in person gatherings.
