Pros

Some talented colleagues who genuinely care about doing good work

Cons

Slack messages are monitored and used as a measure of your productivity. If you are heads-down doing deep work, you are penalized for not being visibly active. Even AI tool usage, Claude tokens of all things, is tracked as a productivity metric. Micromanagement is constant and suffocating. Leadership projects its own anxiety onto the team, creating a persistent atmosphere of fear. Fear of failure, fear of being next out the door. Hire and fire is not an exaggeration. Turnover is high. The UX team is not here to design great products. You are here to be a sales rescue team. You will spend your days designing custom solutions for customers who are threatening to churn because the product was oversold to them. It is a band-aid factory, not a design function. Leadership offers no real support, just shifting expectations and blame when things go sideways.
