Pros

- If you love travel, its a travel company

Cons

- Culture: The company is held back by trying to maintain the way things have been done. Its constantly an old vs new and the new talent attracted typically leaves soon after as they find that new ideas or improvements are blocked - Leadership: Many leaders have been promoted based on length of stay and not true skills, experience and talent as leaders. This is seen mostly in Commercial and some other teams where it seems they are untouchable even if they are no longer contributing and they are not able to bring the company forward - Lack of strategy: It seems in the past there was no strategy around what was built, and even now there is a process in place and structure but the strategy is lacking in terms of considering external cues and aligning across the business

Thank you for your comments it’s worth pointing out two points around both commercial and strategy. We have competency frameworks in place for all disciplines, including Commercial, against which any promotion proposals are reviewed and assessed against evidence to support sustained performance and impact. In the Commercial team there have been both internal promotions and new appointments in the past year. On strategy, we are looking at this, because, like most companies in the travel sector, the pandemic has necessitated a refresh in approach. So the new strategy is evolving, and will continue to do so.

Pros

Great culture. You truly get the sense that people care for one another and want the full team to succeed, not just individuals. High exposure to commercial strategy early on Even in junior roles, you’re not just pushing buttons, you're helping to solve complex challenges. That’s rare and valuable. Cross-functional visibility. You get a front-row seat to how product, commercial, and marketing intersect, especially in Ads. Good place to understand how a travel marketplace actually operates. Ownership culture (if you lean into it). If you’re proactive, you can carve out scope quickly. Global exposure. Working across regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC) gives a broader view of how airlines and OTAs operate differently, which is useful for long-term career growth.

Cons

All the flexibility and benefits above come with the con of being a bit too flexible at times, leading to gaps in effective tooling and resource to tackle things in a timely manner. However, this is mitigated by the collaborative culture.
