Pros
Slalom by and large is good consulting company to work for. From a work life balance stand point, they respect your time. You usually won't be clocking 60+ hours a week. Also take this review with a grain of salt, I'm speaking from the perspective of an employee who's been part of the company for 3 years. There's been problems about how the company is run, there's been re-orgs, layoffs, more re-orgs. Now Slalom is going through it's "Slalom 5.0". Where the company is essentially re-inventing itself from it's local based model. Will things change? Who knows. Vacation and benefits wise. Slalom treats its people well.
Cons
Be warned this is a consulting firm. So it's easy to get trapped in "what you can do now" and less the ability to grow. Often you will be put on a project because you already have the skillset, and less so because you want to grow in a certain area. If you want to grow and learn, this is harder to come by. You need to be very vocal for this and have strong relationships with higher ups and play the game. I've heard so many colleagues who felt like they haven't learned anything in over a year. Take that as you may. It's also been a challenge where Sales will go off to sell something that the delivery team has no visibility of. What does this turn into? A massive headache and stress for delivery to put something together because Sales promised the world to client.
