Cons
One of the most toxic work cultures I’ve experienced.
The company talks a lot about growth, funding, and vision, but internally it often feels like a one-man army where decisions revolve around pleasing a few individuals rather than building strong teams.
If your manager is uncomfortable with strong performers or independent thinkers, your growth can suddenly stop. The culture slowly pushes people into survival mode where boot licking matters more than actual performance, ownership, or contribution.
There were constant pressure tactics, public degradation of responsibilities, role downgrades into IC-level work despite leadership contributions, and situations designed to mentally exhaust employees until they resign on their own.
False narratives and selective communication became common whenever someone questioned decisions or expected transparency. People who genuinely worked like founding members were not treated like one. Contributions were conveniently forgotten when it came to promotions, recognition, equity discussions, or long-term rewards.
The saddest part is that many employees gave everything to build the company during difficult phases, only to realize that loyalty and hard work were valued less than internal politics.
A startup can be demanding, but there’s a difference between high performance culture and psychologically draining management practices.
