Pros

Good benefits, good pay, they paid for my insurance 100% Always allowed for time off when I needed it. Leadership seemed to always have your back. Great learning experience but with a big caveat! (see below) Endless training opportunities Positive atmosphere

Cons

Despite the pros, there were many downfalls. I spent way more time on a project than I should of. When I first started I was told I'd be part of a new BPO (business product offering), here I thought FINALLY! I'm getting the chance that no other Consulting agency ever gave me.... but as soon as I get brought on the lead product owner abruptly quits and leaves me in her place. Despite being told initially that I wasnt going to have to, yes, I was made to fill in her shoes with senior management very well knowing I didn't have that skillset. Leadership trained 2 green employees with no experience and assumed they would be good enough, but they werent. The complexity was at maximum level. There were two huge IT developments that I would have to undertake. With extreme convincing I was able to interview and hire a third more experienced technical guy come and help with the other project. The client was the most difficult clients I have ever dealt with as even they didn't know what they wanted. Halfway through my project they seemed to change direction in their wants and then try to blame us for being late. No matter how much I documented to make sure things were recorded to prevent scope creep or magical items that were "overlooked" it just wasn't enough. They just made more upon more demands and at the end I was always wrong and they were always right. At the end they decided this was a no-go and just flat out ended the contract with a week notice. At the end, they just ended up being a run of the mill average Consulting company just like the rest. with false hope and empty promises. No BPO, no long term employment... It all ended. Despite this, it was an interesting and positive experience, Im just not happy with how it ended. I learned alot and would do it over again if it meant I could stay. :)
