Pros

Decent pay and benefits with some good people. Summer fridays off. Hypothetically big addressable market.

Cons

Where do I begin? I regret ever making the decision to join this company and throughout my time there it only got worse. Great people have left, mostly by choice, as they’ve realized how unorganized and inefficient the processes are at staffbase. Leadership loves to prop up the people who have been here a long time while letting others suffer with bad accounts and territories. Under the guise of a potential exit, there have been a ton of changes with investments only at the top while expecting everyone else to just do better. All Head of sales, outside of the DACH territory, are terrible and love pointing fingers at everyone but themselves. The HR team, especially in North America, are negative and simply waste everyone’s time. They yell from the top of a Canadian mountain about DEI but most if not all execs are white. Sales processes are joined together by scotch tape requiring so much admin work it’s a miracle anything gets done. The ops team does nothing to improve and puts the major burden on the poor SDRs who also lost a great leader a while ago. Product is not a need for most businesses especially during hard financial times. Acquisitions made have also not led to much new product differentiation or sales.

Pros

The people here have been such a highlight during my time at Staffbase. The company is full of driven, caring people, and our product is best in the industry, so it's easy to be proud of what we do. The company was founded in Germany so there's a lot of European values embedded in the company and benefits offered to employees (flexible schedules, 30 vacation days and Fridays off in August!). The vibe at work is energetic and ambitious - we are a 10 year old start up who's moved into "scale up" mode, so the growth mindset is still very much alive.

Cons

I can't think of many cons, but I will say it is a very global business, and that means I see most people working outside of typical 9-5 business hours. For some, I imagine that would be a deal breaker.
