Pros

- Initial strong commitment to DEI initiatives - WeWork office space provided - Flexible location options

Cons

A significant shift in company culture and leadership - High turnover in leadership positions, particularly among diverse executives - No formal HR department or established HR infrastructure at the time of my tenure - Company-operated without standardized employee policies or procedures - Performance expectations were communicated inconsistently. - Received urgent disciplinary warnings through peer Slack messages rather than management channels - No formal performance improvement plans or documented warnings were provided - Multiple WeWork locations created logistical challenges for meetings. - Documentation of employment changes often differed from verbal communication.

Pros

Jennifer was amazing, and the opportunity was great to get my foot in the door

Cons

The training program falsely advertised multiple contractor placement opportunities when TD Bank was the sole option available. The compensation structure was exploitative: contractors earned $28/hour for identical work that full-time TD employees performed at $70/hour, with Strategio retaining a significant portion of our earnings. Additionally, TD's poor workforce planning left many technologists, including myself, without assigned work pods for weeks. This mismanagement ultimately resulted in layoffs due to overcontracting.
