Pros

The job allows you to have health, dental and vision insurance

Cons

It’s ironic that a company who markets a product to improve the physical and mental health of their clients has little to no regard for the culture & well being of their sales team. Pay attention to the negative reviews. Positive ones (especially recent) are written by leadership. The majority of the sales staff is burnt out and unhappy which leads to a lack of culture. The managers are always asking for more, even if you are hitting your goal. Therefore, even for top performers, this job has very little balance. Now that the sales staff is up to 70, there are not enough leads to go around and sales reps are making far less per paycheck than they were a year ago which is why people keep leaving. The money is no longer worth the workload. There’s been 3-4 price increases of the product over the last year and a half making it much more difficult to make sales. In the interview process, they claim you can make 6 figures in year 1 that is not anywhere close as for the 1st 3-4 months you are limited on leads. If you have a family or kids, good luck. You will not see them often and have to make a choice. Lots of micro managing on lead consumption and your hours. As an example, one time a top performing sales rep got berated in front of the team for going to get a haircut on his birthday during the middle of the day. What doesn’t help is the logistics and customer care team is not properly staffed which leads to us having to put out fires each day dealing with unhappy customers. They will call wondering where their sauna is at because they can’t get help from the other departments. Management acts like this doesn’t exist and wonders why you haven’t made more dials on your pipeline. Oftentimes, the management team, including the sales operations team, address you in a condescending manner speaking to you like you are a child. Passive aggressive emails are sent out often and there is lots of favoritism. One of the top sales reps is allowed to sandbag (drag over) her sales at the beginning of every month from the prior month so she gets off to a head start over everyone else and management looks the other way. How is this at all fair to the rest of the hard working sellers in the org? They care about revenue over people. Years ago, the company used to give back to the local community and do a food drive to help those in need, but then they stopped doing that (likely because it took time away from making sales). Due to so many people leaving, they constantly have to keep bringing in new people and hope 2-4 will stick around from a 10-15 person class. They will hire just about anyone so there’s not much of a standard anymore. This is now an entry level sales job at best. Total lack of culture.

Pros

The Pros of Sunlighten: THE CULTURE! The people are amazing! The employees and management work their hardest to support each other. The IT Technical Support Specialist who's name starts with a K is the funniest guy I know. The On-Site Gym is awesome and has a few saunas! The Tuesday and Thursday lunches are heat!

Cons

Smaller company starting to go Corporate so has growing pains. Mostly growing pains.

Pros

One of the best things about this company is the actual product. I think it’s the best sauna in the industry. Overall, it was a great place to work. Really excellent training and support, can’t say anything negative about the sales managers, etc. if you don’t mind being on the dialer all day, talking about an excellent product, there is some good income potential here.

Cons

I really can’t think of any.
