Pros
World class upper management with consistent focus on customer satisfaction and core business has made Synopsys the #1 EDA company of the World. The leadership duo of Chi Foon Chan and Art de Geus is a row model for executive teams everywhere as far as operational efficiency, product vision, and high standard of ethics goes.
Cons
1) Some middle managers could improve as far as people skills goes. 2) EDA software architecture paradigm is becoming a bit archane - too focused on (C/C++/Tcl). 3) EDA as a sector has been stagnant for the past 10 years and has little prospect of growth 4) Art should expand his guitar musical repertoire :-)
