Pros
Synopsys is a very ethical company and treats employees and customers well for the most part. The pay scales are quite good and the work environment is very engineering driven, which is a huge plus for R&D Engineers and CAEs. There are lots opportunities to grow and become a technical expert in your chosen areas of expertise. Politics is quite minimal compared to other mid to large size companies.
Cons
The EDA industry is quite mature and opportunities for growth in the industry have to be quite conservative. So if you prefer being in a high growth industry this may not be your cup of tea.
