Pros
Great co-workers. Decent pay and benefits. Product offering is good. Marketing material is good. Technology is good.
Cons
Detached and ineffective senior leadership. Constant boasting of diversity, but in practice it's still a straight white boys club. Field leadership is weak, because the "A" team has moved on to competitors, leaving the "B and C" team in positions they aren't qualified for. Morale is horrible, in all departments. Turnover and job elimination is heavy, often without replacements, so it increases everyone's workload. Instead of working harder, most of the work just doesn't get done in a timely fashion because the once loyal employees truly just don't care anymore. Customers are quitting in droves, leaving with a negative impression of Sysco that will take years to correct. Silos have created competing priorities amongst the various departments. Operations and merchandising are completely removed from any level of accountability to customers, internal or external.
