Pros
The majority of people are good at what they do. It was possible to have a reasonable work / life balance and there were interesting things to work on.
Cons
Pay and benefits were just OK, but sliding the wrong way. Pay freezes were common and benefits were decreasing rather than increasing. Senior management was out of touch with the work force most of us "rank and file" never saw or heard from them.
