They will only use temps, and even if you work 2 years, and bust your butt, they will not hire you. Even if by miracle if you are hired, as supervisor i can tell you we paid below the market, your better off elsewhere. Management puts pennies before people, always. family emergency? screw you. They are also shipping most jobs out of country and being real shady about it. not being open about it, closing plants. Look it up TE is a "holding" company. Holding companies don't care about the product, research holding company, and you will want to steer clear. Edit: I would like to add, I felt bullied by management, often. example They push this "stop work" if you think is something wrong, you could stop work to make sure it was right. I performed a few my self. the words from my supervisor still ring in my head today, when i stopped work on medical product that had issues. he told me: "You make waves when you stop a X valued shipment...... we dont like waves. it hurts us. remember, we look for calm waters when we want to give a promotion" This was medical product, with lost traceability, and they care more about the value of the shipment than the traceability, of medical product, that goes in people... This guy, in management told me the week before that i there might be a engagement seat open. And now he was holding it over my head, because i raised concern around medical product. It felt sickening. It felt like a mafia thing, "listen to me if you know what is good for you". Needless to say, I had this same thing from our HR lady, and quality department as well. I did end up making management, and I think I was let go, for making "to many waves" Ive had Quality overlook us sending bad product to medical and aerospace customers often. I have also gone to HR with a threat from another coworker, and they did nothing about it. (the other worker didn't "cause waves")

Broadly a good company if you’re in a senior decision making role.

Cons

HR policies are words only. Years go by without ability to take any PTO and carry over not allowed. Friday afternoons, all HR US employees stop working with all others working past normal business hours and into the weekend including late Friday asks to complete an action by Monday 8:00 AM that was known earlier in the week but only communicated to the employee after Friday business hours. Every Friday. Onboarding structure / sink or swim approach, no training. No sense of belonging unless you’ve worked here 20 years plus. No growth or development opportunities unless tapped on the shoulder. Many openings are never published, again tapped on the shoulder approach despite offering to volunteer. Dismissive company culture. Every Voice Counts initiative is code for: if you do share your voice, you are on a list to not consider for promotion or any projects that would give you more visibility across the organization to foster one’s growth.
