Pros

Wear scrubs each day and free coffee. TE's paid parental time off is amazing - 10 weeks for everyone (Moms, Dads, salaried, hourly), no qualification time.

Cons

Terrible site senior leadership has lead to a mass exodus of talent leaving this plant feeling like the D list of people who were exited from stronger medical device companies. There are opportunities to change things, but creativity and empowerment is overruled by awful leadership decisions. Senior leadership is not part of the day to day, sits in their office, and will actively avoid saying hello to people in the halls (even their direct reports). You can often hear the leadership team getting aggressive with each other and arguing during the daily meeting which is right next to the engineers. When concerns are escalated (more resources needed, etc.) no action is taken and you feel stupid for asking for help even though you are working over 60 hours a week. It is expected that you spread yourself thin and leadership does not want to help make things better. There are also ethical concerns with this plant. There is a clear gender bias as female contributors are treated horribly by the "in-crowd" of middle age male co-workers. When HR and legal are brought into these concerns, they say they will address it, but nothing happens. Watching all the female managers be treated horribly and leave, makes female individual contributors concerned about what will happen to them.

Pros

Broadly a good company if you’re in a senior decision making role.

Cons

HR policies are words only. Years go by without ability to take any PTO and carry over not allowed. Friday afternoons, all HR US employees stop working with all others working past normal business hours and into the weekend including late Friday asks to complete an action by Monday 8:00 AM that was known earlier in the week but only communicated to the employee after Friday business hours. Every Friday. Onboarding structure / sink or swim approach, no training. No sense of belonging unless you’ve worked here 20 years plus. No growth or development opportunities unless tapped on the shoulder. Many openings are never published, again tapped on the shoulder approach despite offering to volunteer. Dismissive company culture. Every Voice Counts initiative is code for: if you do share your voice, you are on a list to not consider for promotion or any projects that would give you more visibility across the organization to foster one’s growth.
