Excellent exposure to subsea components and the opportunity to work in different sub streams on products.
Cons
-Product specific jobs have less scope in upcoming years since products are company specific and there are less opportunities for product based engineers as compared to stress or finite element analysis engineers -Work load is more as compared to it's financial compensation -Accelerated projects (most) lead to work life imbalance. Though the practice is shunned and people are suggested to work in normal hours, working with counter parts in different time zones means working beyond regular hours on daily basis. There is no concept of shifts, so one has to extend normal hours to work around 12 hrs at certain times or weeks at length during engineering execution
