Pros
1. Freedom/flexibility 2. Ethical {mostly} 3. Exposure /visibility to senior management 4. Wide opertunity in work, can work across layers 5. Employees {mostly} are skilled and help out. 6. Minimal interference from manager in your work / almost no micro management 7. Hr are just a pleasure to talk with, very approachable even though they have a tight schedule :)
Cons
1. Pay is below average {only when compared to product companies} 2. People{mostly} are just down right lazy, even though they have an ocean of knowledge. 3. The code you get to work on is decades old {may have 1 or 2 exceptions} so mostly work revolves around cleaning out other people's problems 4. Growth is very slow after you join the company, this becomes a positive feedback loop for point 2 above. 5. Food is bad, please upskill in cooking before joining 6. Environment /culture lacks energy/drive
