Pros

- Exposure to big-name clients and industry giants. Many employees take in-house roles at well-known tech companies after working here.

Cons

- Toxic, cliquey workplace culture. Those that have been at Outcast long are shown a lot of favoritism. - No work-life balance. Expect extremely long hours. You will need to justify signing off or stepping away from your desk if you have any kind of life outside of work. You will be expected to sign on early in the morning or late at night for needier clients who have immediate access to you via Slack. Expect to work even if you’re on PTO. - Employees are encouraged to “snitch” on one another. - Accounts are improperly staffed and expectations are not clearly laid out. - Managers offer conflicting advice and speak poorly of one another. - Members of the leadership team that are notoriously hot-headed and hard to please are both feared and rewarded.

Pros

- Good way to get your foot in the door and work with big clients. - Fellow employees are nice people.

Cons

- Pay is low compared to other tech agencies. - Very slow to promote (if at all). They paused 3 whole promotion cycles during my tenure. - No annual pay raises or bonuses. Meanwhile, other agencies are doing this. - Company culture is lacking. The company would talk a lot about DEIB only for leadership to fall short when it comes to actually creating and maintaining systems of support for POC and diverse groups in the workplace. Thus, there's a big gap between intention and impact. Same can be said for how the agency supports its employees who struggle with their workloads. They'll throw some nice words at you, but won't actually do anything useful to help struggling employees.
