By far, my worst experience - Data Engineer Thoughtworks Employee Review

Pros

They pay on time. Some benefits, like restaurant tickets or a training budget.

Cons

They left me alone at the client, even though they said in the interviews that this was something quite occasional and they weren't doing it anymore. They talked in the interview process about promotions, forgetting all the bureaucracy, timing, and nominations that you need (rather than a nomination process, it looks more like the Hunger Games). When I got injured, they asked me to make up medical hours, even though I could have just taken sick leave for several months and I didn't. My CLT hasn't even talked to me in months. Honestly, my worst experience by far. I don't recommend going to TW at all if you value your career.

Pros

I've had a great experience building my career at Thoughtworks. One of the things that stands out most is the culture. It's collaborative, supportive, and filled with people who genuinely want to help each other succeed. Thoughtworks has also provided me with meaningful opportunities for career growth. I've been encouraged to take on new challenges, develop new skills, and explore different career paths. Leaders have been approachable and supportive, and I've always felt empowered to own my development rather than being confined to a single role. Like any organization, we’ve had our ups and downs. But the people and the commitment to continuous learning have remained consistent strengths. If you're looking for a place where you can grow professionally, work with smart and passionate people, and be part of a culture that values collaboration and innovation, Thoughtworks is a great place to build your career.

Cons

None that I can think of right now.

Pros

Great culture, very laid back and as long as you show up and get your work done you are meeting expectations

Cons

Very difficult to get any salary increases or promotions. Lived in fear of layoffs bc there were often not a lot of projects so I was often on the bench for months at a time
