I am a tenured sales rep and was recruited to become a sales consultant. I was told TriNet was an exciting place to work where you could make a career working for this incredible place. As I went through training it became very clear that they wanted an inside sales reps and their focus was a call center mentality.
Management did nothing to help new sales reps onboard nor help motivate for success and only focused on short term results and meeting sales metrics. I spent ten months trying to figure out how best to grow an untapped market with no leadership support, horrible leads and with much criticism and speculation. I had a track record of success and failed at TriNet. When I was put on a performance plan the week before Christmas with 45 days to create a miracle, I was told "This should have happened a long time ago." More tenured reps told me it takes at least a year to eighteen months to build the business. It was too bad it did not work out but if you are looking to work somewhere for the long term, TriNet is probably not the place for you.
