Pros

Team of really smart and insightful individuals, with visionary ideas that are put into action quickly. Everyone has a work hard mentality, but thankfully it's a flexible environment with remote work options. The software is revolutionary, and it's exciting to be at the forefront of such a major turning-point for our industry. Christopher Trapp is an imaginative leader, and a true expert in our field. He's also compassionate, thoughtful and hardworking. I love working at UpStack and the entire team, it’s a great place to be!

Cons

We are still a young company, we don't have stock options or dental insurance (yet). While most start-ups don't offer medical insurance, UpStack does which is amazing. With this said, I've noticed I pay more out of pocket for medical expenses and also higher prescription costs than with previous plans at larger companies... This will improve as we grow. Communication can be inconsistent at times, again we are a startup and things move pretty quickly. Decisions are sometimes made and carried out before communicating with the entire team, which can cause a little confusion internally. Lastly, we are still figuring it all out, growing pains in general can be tough, but necessary.
