Pros
Discounts on pet care for my furry kids is the only reason I am still there. I love and respect all the dedicated people that I work with.
Cons
-Raises are few and far between and do not keep up with cost of living percentages. We do not currently make a living wage for Denver. -Managers are not qualified or trained for their positions. They are NEVER on the floor so they have no idea what is going on in their own hospital. They do have constant meetings though! -This is a large, specialty hospital but our dangerous lack of staff (word is out in town; don't even think of working here) has led to unacceptably poor patient care. - Morale has never been worse. Making suggestions for changes will just get you a "negative thinker" label; something that may eventually get you fired. I have given up hope for any positive changes. -Local, regional and territorial managers are absent. They should NEVER have allowed the downward slide that has plagued this hospital for the last 5 years. -This hospital is no longer a place that I am proud to say I work for, something myself and nearly all of the other employees previously felt passionately. It's a shame as we used to be GREAT! -The mass exodus of long-term, top notch employees is mind-boggling. If we were even paid as much as Banfield, we would not be constantly and dangerouly short-staffed.
