      Pros

      Family owned business which is embedded in the Vertex culture. Open communication between teams and no closed doors. Flexible working hours, good for work/life balance. Management is open minded for critical feedback.

      Cons

      Due to the collaborative culture Vertex seems slow decision making and some employees are reluctant to change.

      Pros

      - Valuable to have a job in this market, and somewhere that historically pays a market rate - unlimited PTO for fulltime

      Cons

      - New CEO is something...concerning. Workforce reduction, replacing C-suite with former pals from previous companies, huge push on AI without the subsequent reassurance that our jobs won't be replaced. Seems like the goal is for all of us to train AI to do our jobs before getting let go. Really tone deaf when us little people have livlihoods on the line.
