Pros
Depending on the location you work at you can have a wonderful team, as well as supportive management. Also working in the industry allows you to network with various walks of life, maybe even leads to get a better career.
Cons
Once Duane Reade was purchased the company started changing the rank system creating bs positions with the same responsiblities as management for far less pay. The company continues to push more responsibility as well as cutting hours, making expectations unrealistic and allows customer service to suffer. This not a career it is a job, it's not terrible but it was much better when i first started. But all that being said its way better than burgers.
