Pros

-Ability to accrue paid time off after 3 months of work with them as a regular associate is cool -a free shorti size (6inch) sub per shift worked is cool -up to 6 discounted items (per approved item list) per shift worked -35 percent off most other purchases that aren’t on the discount list is cool -free coffee, free soda while working is cool -schedule flexibility is also not bad

Cons

-schedule is made 4 weeks out in advance -performance review increases are once a year (like most places) but Wawa does expect a lot of work out of their employees -pay rate in relation to the workload isn’t that great when working in the facilities role -managers tend to observe food operation employees more than employees working behind the scenes -hours are not that great compared to what was told I’d be given during the interview -lack of accountability/consistency

Pros

Fantastic health and customer service standards If you have a good management team, everything goes smoothly and even when it doesn't they help you handle it If you negotiate pay before being officially hired, they are willing to negotiate Opportunity for growth Affordable benefits that are actually good

Cons

A LOT is expected from you, and if you don't negotiate for higher pay before being hired, or at the time of promotion, it can feel like you're being underpaid for sure. Just because you are on the same level as someone else, doesn't necessarily mean you will receive the same pay rate
