Pros

Competitive Compensation Aligned with Client Needs: Salary packages are competitive and tailored to meet client requirements and project demands. Timely Salary Payments: Salaries are consistently paid on time, ensuring financial reliability for employees.

Cons

1. Job Security Risks: As a small, service-based company with a limited client base, job security can be a significant concern. While Xebia may offer competitive salaries during project engagement, once the project concludes, there’s a risk of being let go. This is particularly true if there are no new high-billing opportunities on the horizon. After being hired at a high rate, the company may struggle to find clients who can afford that billing rate, ultimately leading to layoffs once your current project ends. 2.Limited Project Diversity: The majority of work at Xebia involves staff augmentation, meaning employees are frequently deployed on client sites rather than working on end-to-end projects. The company does not typically engage in fixed-price, long-term projects with clients, which can limit opportunities for growth and innovation. Furthermore, the clientele does not include major global players such as Fortune 100 companies, which may hinder exposure to larger, more complex projects. 3.Not Ideal for Senior Professionals or Non-Tech Roles: If you have over 10 years of experience, particularly in non-technical roles like Product Management or Agile, Xebia may not be the right fit. The company primarily caters to professionals with 3–7 years of experience, particularly in tech roles such as Data Engineering. Senior professionals may find their skills underutilized or undervalued, and once a project ends, they may be let go despite any emotional gestures from management. This can be disheartening for seasoned professionals seeking long-term career stability. 4.Management and Business Expansion Challenges: The leadership team, including Sales and Delivery, has faced significant challenges in expanding the business and converting opportunities with clients. Despite having potential, the company has struggled to secure new clients or effectively expand its offerings in the market, leading to stagnation in business growth. 5. Misconceptions About Global Opportunities: Despite being part of the Xebia Group, Xebia IT Architects India Ltd operates as an independent entity with little collaboration between the Indian and global arms of the organization. Any assumptions about onsite opportunities in Europe, the US, or the UK are likely to be misplaced, as these opportunities are rare and not part of the typical employee experience at Xebia India. Conclusion: Xebia IT Architects India Ltd can be a good fit for mid-career professionals, especially those with 3–8 years of experience in technical roles like Data Engineering. However, if you are a senior professional in non-technical roles or a true Product Management professional, this may not be the best company for you. The company is a small, service-based organization with challenges in business development, sales, and client acquisition. Consider joining only if you’re willing to accept the risks associated with job security and limited long-term career growth.

Pros

Some genuinely strong talent across parts of the organization, particularly at the delivery and individual contributor level. Entrepreneurial energy exists in pockets of the business, especially within acquired teams.

Cons

Lack of decisive leadership at the top, an underpowered board with limited global technology experience, and a culture that too often favors proximity to leadership over measurable performance. The private equity sponsor brings deep experience from non-technology sectors, but little track record in scaling complex, global IT services businesses—visible in weak governance, strategic drift, and inconsistent execution. The departure of many founders, including the original founder stepping away entirely, has coincided with a rapid loss of ownership mindset, long-term continuity, and the entrepreneurial drive that originally differentiated the firm.
