Pros
Good non monetory perks, loads of drinking parties( sometimes unnecessary) and amazing exposure to the consulting world for those coming from a technical background.
Cons
1) ZS now boasts of being more than just pharma and marketing, but that is just a PR thing and there are practically no concrete steps being taken to make ZS more than that. Data Science is increasingly becoming an invaluable, profitable and amazing capability with unimaginable scope in all markets, but the higher ups at ZS are failing to go anywhere beyond pharma companies. 2) The starting salary for a Data Science Associate is nowhere near the market standard, and one might hope that market correction and appraisals make up for it but they are practically non existent. The pay disparity between higher ups and new comers is tremendously skewed which again creates. To clarify, this only applies for the Indian team, while the other international divisions with the same exact position have a salary much in line with the market standard. 3) As a result not only is the work unoriginal, uninspired and dastardly boring, a Data Science professional feels underutilized and underpaid. You would see less than 20% of people retaining in the company 2 years after.
