Pros

became good at communication and soft skills esp slide making and crafting emails learnt office politics and importance of it for career growth collaborative culture is passed on by Kellogg professors is awesome

Cons

1. In an effort to grow faster new managers/consultants are hired from the industry but often they bring their own baggage (kissing up and crapping down) from previous jobs. Even hiring one wrong fit at senior level screws many junior team members who may actually have stayed at ZS 2. Billing rates are insanely high compared to normal IT companies. People get over this by working 80 hrs but billing only 40hrs. 3. Partners have become lazy and usually keep high performing managers under them who work like slaves in hopes of becoming partner. Bar for making partner keeps increasing every year. Managers are too hard on teams since they think they put through this and its normal 4. I miss the ZS where transparency was encouraged . It has now become a political place

Pros

- Exposure to large-scale projects and enterprise clients - Opportunity to work on modern technologies and data platforms - Strong technical talent within teams

Cons

- Leadership and management practices are heavily influenced by offshore working styles, which can create misalignment with local work expectations in the U.S. - Work-life balance can be difficult, with expectations around extended hours and frequent overlap with offshore teams - Limited flexibility around boundaries outside standard working hours - High workload and pressure can make long-term sustainability challenging for some employees - Team inclusivity and engagement can sometimes feel uneven, with opportunities for more balanced collaboration across all team members - Retention challenges observed among employees not aligned with the prevailing work style
