Pros

If one is fortunate to work on multiple projects then one gets to learn a variety of things which may be beneficial for future career in management or business intelligence or analytics in general. ZS employs mostly smart people. So you may expect to experience working with people with different skills, values and cultures.

Cons

First is the work-life imbalance that applies to most of the Associates and Associate Consultants in ZS. Second, ZS has a very nice competency model to track the performance of its employees but it is very poorly followed. Instead of making the model as a reference to motivate employees to excel, many of the ZS Consultants and Managers abuse it as an excuse for not rewarding people in proportion to their work. Third, some portion of ZS office culture is heavily biased towards the population local to the office location.. can't say if ZS lives by its claim of being an equal opportunity employer. Fourth, office politics plays havoc

Pros

ZS is one of the few firms that offers a exponential growth path in your professional journey- if you are able to match the speed of the firm and can create an impact. Couple of things that have made me stick with ZS is- transparency, people, culture, quality of work and growth trajectory.

Cons

ZS is not deep into Strategic consulting, hence if you are looking for that ZS might not be the firm of choice.

Pros

Strong culture and collaborative environment with smart, supportive colleagues. Admins are trusted partners and get exposure to senior leadership, which provides great learning opportunities. Compensation and benefits are competitive compared to similar roles.

Cons

Workload can be high, with admins often supporting multiple stakeholders while also providing backup coverage. Expectations can vary widely depending on the team, which can create inconsistency and pressure. Career growth paths are less structured and require a lot of self-direction. Work-life balance can be challenging at times, especially across time zones.
