Pros
Good benefits, product discount, surface commitment to diversity, kind coworkers
Cons
Upper management disconnected from day to day of in store employees, show bias in offering opportunities and promotions to preferred "inner circle", not equitable. Unrealistic sales goals impeded bonus (necessary to achieve livable wage). Poor business decisions on corporate-level affecting profitability of stores leading to smaller bonus earning. Yearly raises supposedly based on "merit", i.e. employee performance, but in reality the highest rank (4 out of 4 stars) is never granted and bonuses are capped for each location--so if every employee at location deserves the max 4% raise (well below inflation %) the store cannot grant them this which results in a lower % raise, no matter the employee's work. Effectively, staff makes less year over year as a result. Rigid availability requirements harmful to work/life balance (Floor Leaders must be available to work EVERY Saturday/Sunday, Inventory leaders must be available to work EVERY week night Monday through Friday AND a weekend day.)
