Pros

MThree (previously Wiley Edge) gives perfect opportunity for people who want to break into tech industry who lack experience. I have seen some negative comments about them but realistically speaking if someone couldn't get a job offer without help of a consulting firm like mThree, chances are mThree actually got them a job that they would have never gotten otherwise; therefore, I am really thankful to them that they helped me ease into this industry. You sign an 18 months contract with them and you work at client site like normal job, the difference is your salary is coming from mThree consulting instead of the client. If everything is good and the client is happy with your work then the employment is automatically converted into FTE from contract. You get pay bump every six months, and there are added benefits like gym, perkbox, health plan, cycle2work (paid by mThree) etc. Currently the UK manager is George, who was very helpful and replied to all my queries as they arised. In a nutshell, I'd recommend anyone who wants to break into tech to apply through mThree and not listen to all the negatives.

Cons

When you are working as a contractor on client site, there are certain client benefits you are not eligible for which are exclusive for FTEs.

Pros

During my time at mthree, the company underwent significant restructuring, including numerous layoffs and the transition of departing from Wiley. While there were challenges, the mission behind the Hire, Train, Deploy model was strong in theory and gave me a sense of purpose in helping applicants find opportunities. The North America Talent Acquisition team was the highlight of my experience—led by people who genuinely care about their work and the candidates they support. They are what make mthree so great.

Cons

I've witnessed upper management fail to support an employee after a client placed them in a difficult situation. The entire model of mthree is to provide support from beginning to end of the candidate journey. That experience made it clear to me that mthree was not a long-term fit. The sales department has unstable relationships with clients, which directly impacts the quality and consistency of work available to consultants. As a result, those who complete the 8-week training program often find themselves in uncertain positions once their training ends. Additionally, upward mobility is extremely limited due to the company's small size, making it necessary to look elsewhere for steady career growth.
