Pros

Good benefits such as Woolworths discounts. Opportunities for advancement into other areas of Woolworths.

Cons

Long hours for little reward. Management appeared to favour the hierarchy and command control structure over listening to team members. Human Resources weren't useful and appeared more interested in protecting management. Conflicts of interest appeared to be ignored. While team members were often promoted into more senior roles, there re didn't appear to be any upskilling to ensure they could competently complete their role.

Pros

There are a lot of smart, hard working people. Adopted work from home really well.

Cons

The P&C team are a mess. Get in the way, leadership do not talk to the teams, so teams go off duplicating work. E.g. the talent team are siloed with no over arching strategy. Some members haven't even met other team members virtually or not let alone collaborate. Systems still not set up and transferred after the split from Woolworths. HRIS delayed and keeps getting pushed back which holds the business up.

Pros

(1) Staff discounts on Woolworths/BigW/BWS/Dan Murphys. (2) Product Launch in office events. (3) Barangaroo Office in Sydney is in a central location near Wynyard Station.

Cons

(1) Below Average Pay - I had a fixed term contract for 12 months - but left before the 6 mths probation ended. (2) Toxic Work culture - individual ideas not listened too. Toxic culture with Woolworths. Team members are always wrong and managers gaslight and blame staff. (3) High Turnover of staff - 5 PMO members left within my team in 6 months. 300 sacked when postponed a project. (4) Managers not pleasant to work for - main reason for resigning was due to burnout caused by overloading and micromanaging. They hired two more PMO team members 6 months too late!

Pros

- Relaxed work environment - Great place to build your professional network - WFH as often as you like - Large number of samples to take home / opportunities to buy at significant discounts throughout the year - Large number of social events in the office

Cons

- Limited number of office desks (have to book them a month in advance otherwise you run the risk of missing out) - WFH sometimes too good, meaning you may not have face to face interaction with your team members for over 2 months at a time
