The company is quite successful, but it looks like nothing much is done to reward their employees adequately. The salaries being offered, even for new joiners is below industry standard. The benefits being offered are just the bare minimum that employers may need to provide to meet provincial or federal employment requirements. For example - 2 weeks paid time off is provided to employees, while employers in the market are moving to over 3 weeks or unlimited vacation days model. Remote vs Hybrid work - The HR team mentions that company is moving from a full remote to a hybrid work environment soon, but there is no clear indication of this in the company. I would think preference of most would be remote. Internet or home office benefits are not available for employees even in the current remote work environment post Covid.

This company prioritizes penny pinching and squeezing business units for margins at any cost. Enghouse does not offer a 401k match in North America and clearly has little regard for investing in their employees. Management consistently pushes for cost reduction to the point of moving health insurance providers twice in two years (note here that any premium saving was obfuscated from employees; Purely an administrative cost reduction). Bottom line is this company only cares about delivering value to their shareholders and you are only a line item on their profit & loss statements. I can’t stress enough that this company is not worth your time, it’s just one of those nameless corporate entities out there that exists to deliver profit and nothing else.

Focusing on essential tasks while disregarding minor ones was challenging in a company where management often imposed irrelevant and bothersome tasks. The work environment was plagued with constant interruptions and unpleasantness, making it a daily struggle. I regret joining such a toxic and terrible workplace.

I like working at Enghouse, I have nothing cons it, the company is working hard to make Enghouse a comfortable place to work.
