Pros

Not a single solitary one.

Cons

They do not care about their employees. The rules for canvassing are: Absolutely no breaks If you need water, they will NOT provide it, nor will they allow you to run into a gas station to get any. The expectation is to ask the kind people at the doors to refill your water bottles. The problem with that is that you cannot go into the house at all, so you have to trust the stranger not to put anything in your water. If you have to go to the restroom during your 5 hours in the 100° Texas heat, you are expected to use a random porta potty, instead of finding a public bathroom. They only care about how much money you raise, and the turnover is ridiculous. No one in the office has been there longer than a month, including assistant directors.

Hired as a 'director'

Pros

It is a non profit and it was a salaried position

Cons

65-75 hrs/wk for little pay. Forced to raise x-amount of $ per day canvassing. Zero breaks other than lunch, even when working a 13hr shift.

Do not work there.

Pros

Nice people, great cause and fun

Cons

No breaks, no stability, management has no experience or life goals. It is only money driven. If you do not bring in $135 by third day. They ask you to leave. Not training what so ever. Just have you memorise a script. No support from upper team and cut throat mentality
