Pros

If you work at one of the Exadel's Eastern European offices, you are likely getting a pretty sweet deal. Competitive salary, a good pool of projects to choose from including major Wall St firms, plenty of international travel opportunities with perks like generous per diem, rental cars and excellent hotels. If you wish and prove yourself useful, you can get transferred to the U.S. office, the company will arrange a work visa or sponsor a Green Card for you.

Cons

Contrary to its offshore locations, working at Exadel's HQ in the U.S. is not much fun at all. Exadel is a consulting firm. They have very few projects that need U.S. based engineers, therefore you face a very modest, hardly competitive compensation package with no career growth opportunities of any sort. If you are very lucky, you can secure a project that uses modern software development practices, but more likely than not you will get stuck with 10 year old technologies, your resume will smell like a dead cat and your software engineering career will be over. Good luck finding a job after a few years with the company. Look out, don’t let this happen to you.

Pros

temporaral salary might be above market in order to outbid you and enforce you leaving previous employeer

Cons

They cause from the proc. Tomorrow, or the day after tommorow, if their client wrap up their development, you will have to options : you must and (have to thanks) go to a project which is absolutely irrelevant to you, it might be different stack, or different role, it doesn't matter what, especially a project with bad legacy code, visual basic, fortran, The second option is to get out out board. Managers always lie, and please, it is truly bulshit but be ready to generate ideas for sails managers how you, as a developer, are going to buy your solutions, which is their direct responsibilities. If you decline the option, you get out on the first day when their client wrap up a project
