Astonishingly Terrible

Pros

The customer service manager and the people trying their hardest to do a good Job in a bad place.

Cons

Management. There are no words that can convey the true levels of delusion that they are under. They are very well aware of how unhappy the staff are. They have seen these terrible reviews and have not no interest in changing anything from this. They REFUSE to acknowledge that they, and in particular one of the senior leadership team, is a fundamental problem and will be the downfall of the company. One of the SLT has even gone so far as to call members of their team to seek reassurance about these reviews and tries to justify them as "just angry ex employees"...however, the people that write these reviews and good, hardworking, and dedicated people who only wanted to be respected to do their work. Instead, we have all had our personal boundaries pushed, ignored, disrespected and disregarded. You will be pushed to the point of illness from the foolishness, the needless busy work, the lack of planning, the endless u-turns, the mind blowing expectation to pick up the mess and wreckage that is in the wake of the one main "tornado" of a human being. The number of people that have come and gone in the last few years of the company is staggering. All suggestions brought forward are ignored and shut down with immediate effect No idea is a good idea unless it comes from the inner circle. You will become dizzy from the amount of changes in direction, conflicting expectations, duplication of pointlessness. STOP LYING ABOUT THINGS THAT CAN EASILY BE CAUGHT OUT.

Pros

Handing in notice, seriously nothing else

Cons

If you are reading this whilst considering working for Farcroft Restorations. I can absolutely recommend, without a shred of apprehension- Do not work for this company. During my time there, I witnessed an abject lack of effective senior management, high turnover, a complete disregard for employees, the most toxic work environment, ever, the Spanish Inquisition could learn a thing or two. The only thing this company does well is create misery. There are enough reviews on this site which further describes the dysfunctionality of this company, to which I fully endorse. Once again, for the love of God and all that is dear to you, do not work for this company. You deserve better. Please, save yourself the stress, disappointment and the wasted time - look elsewhere. Anywhere would be better.

Pros

The people at the lower rungs of the ladder are some of the most genuine, hard working and enriching people you could ever wish to work with. They have onsite parking and a vending machine?

Cons

Where do I start? Firstly, the day I left was one of the most joyous in all the time I worked there. The genuine relief I felt couldn't be described. When I first applied to Farcroft, and then shortly after offered an interview, I was fed marvellous tales by management that everyone who works at Farcroft is given full training and will leave with a certified qualification in whatever position they please. What a load of guff. Be prepared to teach yourself what to do. Without the use of expletives, the only way I can describe upper management is grossly Incompetent and usless. They believe they're above the law and above standard working practice. I shall never forget being forced to work through the pandemic as we were all deemed "essential workers". Their social media is deceiving. The vast majority of good reviews for customer service are from previous/ current employees. The images used are of work conducted/ of people who no longer work there and haven't for some time. The fancy website and marketing are merely a smoke screen for rubbish customer service and carelessness. The vast majority of the restoration work is subcontracted, bar elements of the art, furniture and contents restoration which is conducted by an incredibly talented group of people who are continually taken advantage of and treated as lesser than (with a bit of discrimination thrown in for good measure). I have some horror stories to tell about this place but I won't go into too much detail as this box unfortunately isn't big enough to cover all the years I was there and for all I witnessed in that time. If you see any advertisements for this place pop up on LinkedIn or Indeed, quickly scroll past.
