      Pros

      This is a remote first company which allows me to work from wherever I want to live or travel. If you do a good job, FirstIgnite takes care of you, I saw salary increases and increased vacation opportunities.

      Cons

      It's definitely hard work as you're attempting to build a company, not a job you can do nothing and get away with it very long. Some of my colleagues were let go due to poor performance or lack of effort.

      Each facet of the company is new and continuing to grow, allowing each team member to be directly responsible for company's success and feeling real value in their work.

      Cons

      It's a start-up so you need to be adaptable to change.

      Pros

      Learned a lot about start-ups and what it takes to create and maintain one. Learned how to do many different things within a company.

      Cons

      The Management team did not know what they wanted. Things were constantly changing and they expected their subordinates to "read their mind" in what they wanted. If you did not perform the first time on something they immediately scrapped the project and decided to do something else rather than try to figure it out and fix the issue.
