Pros

The only pros are job stability. Most wont stay around for this heavy workload

Cons

No work-life balance The pay is terrible for the amount of work you do. I’ve been at Frito for over 10 years and it is getting progressively worse! More work but not more pay. Three years ago when we were On commission pay it was great. You got paid for what you did the more you sold the more you made! Now we are on a pay for performance scale which doesn’t allow you to make more money. The more you beat your sales plan by the more they increase it in the next few months. Therefore making your upcoming plans unattainable. Which in the performance pay world means you get a terrible paycheck! Im talking some RSR’s are selling 60k in product a week 240k a month and if they don’t make plan which might be 260k they lose money. I’ve heard of $200 and $300 paychecks! The turnover is high and it will continue until they pay accordingly. We drive a commercial vehicle, deliver, stock, order, build displays, build rapport with store managers and grow the business yet the pay is stagnant and the growth is lacking.

Pros

This job paid a great wage to help me pay off my student debt. Working nights prevented me from wasting money on eating out, traveling or socializing, so I was able to save a lot of money from that too. This job also forced me to grow, gaining years of experience in a short while.

Cons

Do you like having friends at work? Upper management will turn you all against each other. Do you like getting yelled at daily? Upper management will continuously remind you, your best is never good enough. Do you treat everyone like a person? Upper management wants you to treat your reports as numbers. Don't engage in personal or meaningful conversations. Don't develop friendships with them. Do not treat them as if they are different than the machinery. Do you enjoy never socializing with your family and friends? You will be working evenings or nights twice as long as management promises when you are offered the job. This was the most inappropriate, toxic culture. HR barely has a grip on what is happening within the company. They are rarely there for anyone who doesn't work between 7am - 3pm. Even then, team members had a hard time getting in touch with them. They need a lot of work to develop. They work to hire "diverse" employees, yet will write them off until that individual quits.
