Projects are always scheduled to get out the door fast, but schedule wouldn’t change enough to allow for project changes. Upper management would demand projects be finished by certain time(especially end of year to meet a quota) at the cost of quality. The most hours are always worked at end of year to push out some project with a ridiculous schedule. I emphasize this so much because it was consistently brought up to PMs that scheduling was not realistic, but little was done to change things.
Customers have began to see quality of project go down, in which word gets around fast.
No merit raises. Very conservative with bonuses. Your hard work will probably go unnoticed. They tell you that you can be anything you want at Gcon, which is untrue- you will probably be pigeonholed.
Corruption in the upper management, very serious about this. Self-centric work culture at the core. Work-life balance is non-existent, very serious about this as well.. they are more than content to have you work 80 hours a week.
