    I have been working at GLG full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Exposure to senior professionals (CEO's, MD's, Top consultants) as clients or experts
    Clearly laid out, and rapid progression at junior level (12-18m promotion outlook for new Associate who perform well) and beyond; International mobility options to/from US and Europe
    Pace and positive energy: Never a dull moment and young motivated team
    Growing company (look at industry reports), still feels like a (now big) start-up!
    Excellent learning environment for core interpersonal, communication and sales skills

    Cons

    Internal career paths for those who want to stay longer than 3 years currently limited to one "Track" but strong new options created
    Core activities will typically not leverage technical skills (Data, Finance), but can be appealing for some

    Advice to Management

    Continue to work on breaking down internal silos across functions and regions; this definitely one of the better organisation I have seen though
    Maintain autonomy within International offices

    * location.

    Cons

    * Hard working and productive individuals are given pathetic manual work which can easily be automated

    * Managers pinpoint every small mistake but don’t appreciate good work
    * Don’t allow leave even the ones which you have earned
    * Nepotism at every point
    * Awful cafeteria. No food.
    * Lazy management. They don’t do anything to put the ggn office on map. Dependant in every way. Bpo work environment.

    "India Compliance - Missing Leadership and Misplaced Priorities"

    Approves of CEO

    I have been working at GLG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Good work life balance. You almost never have to carry work home or work beyond six, except days when there are global CEO talks which are interesting.

    -Great colleagues. Most are out of college with an average age of about 22 which make them have a fresh perspective at work. There is a sense of teamwork in the team and the employees help each other

    -Good senior global leadership. Work gives a lot of visibility to the seniors in US even though it might be repetitive.

    -Office is at a prime location and is very easy to commute.

    Cons

    -Severe lack of leadership: The Gurugram leadership is either absent from everything or irrelevant. They come and go as they please. Take leaves as they please. In the six hours (yes, they don't even work eight hours) that they spend in office, no one has a clue what they do between the dozens of cigarette breaks they take. There is virtually no communication with them even though they sit in the same office space.

    -Leadership is grandfathered in and have little to zero knowledge of compliance. They spend their time worrying about the step in and step out times of junior colleagues and the duration of their meal breaks. No conversations on work is ever done.

    - No vision, mission or purpose is ever communicated by the local management and all we hear is from the top global leadership through global talks. Individuals are hired to work on a single activity without definitive career plans drawn out for them. If they excel too much, the management gets insecure and tries to demotivate them.

    -This team and the office, work in a silo and unlike other global offices, global management doesn't visit the office. The local management takes advantage of this and runs it like a family business. Acquaintances and friends with zero track record are hired into the team and made to look like prodigies even though in their previous teams (where they spent a significant time), they were under performers.

    - Information, no matter how simple is withheld from the junior employees as a means to keep control. "Decisions" and those activities with visibility in front of the global management is only made by the "core team" of incompetent friends and acquaintances hiding inside meeting rooms. These acquaintances and "friends" have no training or idea about compliance but are elevated above those working on the same activity for over 2 years with an agenda to make them appear like they are indispensable to business.

    -Once employees complete a few years and the local management is clueless about their career trajectory, they are harassed by unnecessary emails about step-in and productivity so they leave while the "acquaintances" go about doing nothing all day under the watchful eyes of the management. Some employees have been lucky to escape this cycle.

    Advice to Management

    Review the local management. They are redundant and have no adopted to changing business and have become comfortable with delegating rather than leading. GLG Gurugram needs visionary leaders and no Nannies/Baby-Sitters to keep employees under surveillance.

    I worked at GLG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - A wonderful bunch of young and enthusiastic kids out of college willing to work.
    - Approachable global leaders
    - New CEO is energetic and the future looks prosperous
    - Free beverage in the pantry

    Cons

    The management is thoroughly unprofessional and largely serve in the operations function without any knowledge of compliance. It is utterly frustrating that for every little issue, the concern is sended to the compliance team abroad to resolve because of severe lack of knowledge locally.

    There exists, rampant favoritism as individuals who are close to the management, despite having a poor track records for nearly half a decade, get recruited into the team and then given the space to work on certain key highlights for days without accountability, while undermining the rest of the hard working individuals and questioning their productivity and negating their findings. This is done to increase their visibility in front of the top management at the cost of others.

    The incompetent individuals walk around like they own the place since they know the gurgaon management.

    Repetitive and pointless meetings without no outcome. The meetings with the "favorites" are the only ones which last for hours and are done with the aim to highlight their work.

    Close friends are hired by the management to report to them and be spineless mules. They in turn hire more people they personally know.

    Leaky roof is a real concern and the infrastructure is very bad.

    Advice to Management

    This is great company. Conduct an audit on the management in Gurugram. They need to understand that this isn't their personal property or personal company in the way that it is run.

    Pros

    Currently no pros to share but initially the company was really good with a good learning experience

    Cons

    management in India office sucks and is not at all employee-friendly..
    The attrition rate is too high that people don't stick with the firm for more than 3-4months and this all due to poor management.

    Advice to Management

    have some respect towards employees who are your assets but unfortunately the management doesn't care.
