Pros
A few folks in top management, especially in the finance department and tech departments are respectable and truly professional. A couple of super skilled seniors (not the founder for sure, but others in the top rungs) really know their deal. I'd say a good place for people seeking to learn how a start-up is financed and allocated resources. Respect for where the organization has reached today, regardless of its myriad flaws. Stay away from middle management and HR, and talk to the super seniors (not the founder) if in need of direction. The nature of the work has potential if properly executed. Join if you want some money but are okay with sacrificing the use of your grey cells. The job is worth it only if remote/hybrid owing to the substandard work culture. Gives a decent industry insight.
Cons
Greenwashing all the way. Way too much office politics. Managers discuss people's private lives in the open. No ethics. Substandard service economy type of a job. As in many Indian corporates, they have a white person bias, so if you as an Indian employee offer a good suggestion, folks may ignore it. But they'll take the same suggestion from a white client. So a mix of colonial hangover, racism and petty egos run wild here. The HR is quite incompetent, be careful of them. The HR used to be good, in a past life. People do not want to learn, even from the best. Everybody thinks they know what is correct. Showing a willingness to explore/learn is seen as a weakness. Weird, one-of-a-kind toxic work culture.

Run away from this place as fast as you can
21 Apr 2023 - Senior Product Engineer in BengaluruRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Some folks in isolation are good and well-meaning. - You'll mostly get your salary on time (but this is also not always assured). - Few teams might feel fast-moving if you are ready to sacrifice your personal time.
Cons
- Totally incompetent top management. - Lots of internal politics with insane amounts of favoritism. - Nothing innovative in the product or business- some really questionable ethics displayed by the top leaders- including inflated sales/contract numbers. - Engineering is riddled with borderline psychotic & mean leaders who will take care of themselves above you and throw you under the bus anytime. - No one knows where the company is headed- not even the CEO. - Latest funding round was delayed for more than a year after being announced at every all-hands- not sure of the issues there.

Pros
1. management is not great 2. pay is less 3. appraisals are always delayed 4. no incentives are given - so don't fall for that 5. Founder has no leadership skills 6. You are expected to work 24*7 and the founder doesn't shy away from admitting that during the Monthly all hands. 7. Toxic culture.
Cons
1. work and work no cultural initiatives or offsite 2. transactional encounters with management and fellow colleagues 3. this office will become the backend office in 1-2 months, so it's better to look for other front-end opportunities. 4. you will do the all client work but US hires and one or two undeserving leaders will get to meet US clients, so it's no real global exposure.

Pros
It's hard to find a silver lining in a company that has stormy clouds all year round.
Cons
The management lives in a bubble with its few employees, the rest of the employees are treated like ad hoc staff support. Due to an unbalanced leadership and power control, decisions are skewed, not in the best interest of the org, but a select few. The org culture encourages bad behaviour and getting away with it, and there's a lot of negativity amongst teams towards one another. The average time of an employee would be spent in navigating through the politics than actually do some good work. Save yourself the horror, there are much better startups out there to choose from.
